Important notes before you upgrade
Feature Changes
The Fologram 2024 release is backwards compatible with existing Rhino models and grasshopper definitions containing components from the Fologram plugin. However some features have been depreciated in the latest release and if you are in the middle of a project that relies on these features you should wait to complete this project before upgrading. Depreciated features and their replacements include:
Aruco Markers: use the Get Markers component and QR codes containing integer IDs instead.
Model snapshots on device: upload models you would like to access offline to your model dashboard on app.fologram.com, then download these to store a cached copy on your device.
In app video recording: use native OS screen recording.
Offline connections: Fologram 2024 requires an internet connection to connect your device to Rhino. If you are working in a space without internet access over WiFi or cellular networks you will need to work with cached models instead.

Be sure you have the Rhino files for any models you would like to access offline before updating to the new Fologram, as any models saved to your device using the previous version of Fologram will no longer be accessible.
Compatibility
Because the Fologram 2024 release includes major updates to networking and formats, previous versions of Fologram for Mobile or HoloLens will not connect to 2024 versions of Fologram for Rhino and vice versa. To work with 2024, please ensure that you, your end users or your IT department are able to upgrade both Fologram for Rhino and Fologram for your devices.

Fologram 2024 supports all versions of Rhino as well as HoloLens 2, iOS and Android devices. If you would like to work with a HoloLens 1 device please contact support@fologram.com
