Troubleshooting common installation issues
Error: Plugin ID Already In Use
If you have previously installed Fologram on your machine for ‘Anyone that uses this PC’ and re-install the plugin ‘Just for me’ this may cause conflicts that prevent the plugin from loading. You can remove any existing versions of Fologram you have installed with the steps below to address this issue.
Fologram should automatically update any existing versions of the plugin when you run a more recent version of the installer. However if you have a previous beta version of Fologram installed, or have installed Fologram for multiple users on your machine, you may encounter conflicts when loading the plugin.
If the Fologram plugin fails to load in Rhino after installation, you can try:
Run the PackageManager command, click the Installed tab, then uninstall Fologram. Restart Rhino
Delete any existing Fologram folders in C:\Users\%YOUR USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\%YOUR RHINO VERSION%\Plug-ins
Delete any existing Fologram folders in C:\Program Files\Common Files\McNeel\Rhinoceros\%YOUR RHINO VERSION%\Plug-ins
Launch Rhino and run the Fologram command to verify that all plugins have been completely removed.
Then re-install the plugin and choose ‘Just for me’ when prompted. If you continue experiencing issues with installation or upgrading, contact support@fologram.com.
Unable to load plugin: Initialization Failed
Rhino can occasionally fail to correctly associate DLLs with .rhp files during plugin initialization. There are several methods to overcome this error:
Option 1: Open the RHP with Rhino
Navigate to the install folder
Right click on the .rhp file
Select Open With
Navigate to Rhino.exe (and make it the default file association)
