IAAC have published a blog post with a nice behind-the-scenes look at the workshop lead by Dr. Roland Snooks and Natalie Alima from RMIT.
The project is a good reference for anyone looking to combine mixed reality with robotic fabrication, or inform agent based models (or particle simulations) with physical gestures or environments. Natalie and Roland used Aruco Markers to determine component locations and orientations, as well as to physically trace and ‘reinforce’ the assembled structure with further polymer deposition. Check it out in the videos on the blog post.
