Student’s at the University of Cincinnati have used Fologram to assemble a complex ‘voronoi’ tower in Ming Tang’s ‘Augmented Reality for Digital Fabrication’ course in the Fall semester of 2018.
The project uses a simple, low-cost glue assembly fabrication method following holographic guides to create a complex tower sculpture. The elements in the tower are all unique sizes, and rotated at unique angles, so traditional methods of representation would result in an inaccurate outcome. Fologram allows students to accurately locate each piece in physical space whilst constructing the tower.
