This project from the Bartlett University in London a simple brick stacking application coupled with a 3D scan tracking system to provide live feedback to the assembly process using augmented reality with Fologram. The project was part of the BPro Research Cluster 9 led by Soomeen Hahm & Alvaro Lopez Rodriguez in 2017/18. This project was completed by students Kaijie Qian, Sheng Li and Xiao Liu.
The students designed a series of complex assemblies of a simple timber element that require AR for part location during the construction process. The project uses the Microsoft Kinect to live track and scan the assembly process in real time, to update the information displayed inside Fologram, and provide the fabricator with real time construction feedback.
