The experimental work is focused on the potential arising from the entry of the company into Industry 5.0. The development of software and devices capable of connecting man and machine within the production process is the key to putting human being at the center of an engineered manufacturing process, now able to visualize and control the finished product employing holograms projected into the working environment. The research was articulated in the development of a program capable of transmitting the correct visual information through the use of Microsoft®HoloLens, connected in real-time to a parametric script made through Grasshopper. Inside the latter were coded custom components compiled in C# to create an iterative growth algorithm, then redesigned for the composition of a pipe system made by CNC machines and Holo-Bending. The connection between the virtual and the real world is managed through Fologram, a revolutionary mixed reality application capable of connecting in real-time various modeling software, such as Rhino and Grasshopper, and projecting models in the form of holograms, all through devices such as Microsoft®HoloLens or even smartphones.
