Luke Sevior, Yasmeen O’Brien and David Ricardo Guerrero Torres from the Augmented Assemblies design studio led by Sean Guy at RMIT University in 2019 have used Fologram to design an interactive user interface to assist in the fabrication of a timber notching assembly project as a proof of concept for a larger pavilion design.

The students used Fologram to develop their own interactive user interface and workflow for fabrication to create assembly instructions in augmented reality. The UI gave students control over the type of information they were showing when notching each timber element, the rotation of each element, the current piece, and a greater jigsaw where each piece fit in the broader assembly.
